Making the strongest materials printable

So industry can make what matters

Chromatic 3D Materials is a 3D printing technology company using chemical reactions to make manufacturing more flexible, cost-effective, and sustainable.

Our RX-AM™ materials and technology platform is how companies print industrial-strength elastomeric parts anytime, anywhere ─ one part to 1 million.
It’s not for hobbyists or for prototypes. It’s for commerce.

With applications in transportation, industrial parts and equipment, textiles, medical devices, and defense, our materials and technology help scale the type of novel innovation and sustainable solutions the world urgently needs.

What makes us different

We take a materials-first approach to printing.
We know commercial applications demand certain materials like thermoset elastomers. That’s why we’ve made them printable — starting with polyurethanes that are virtually indistinguishable from molded polyurethanes.

Manufacturing is our DNA

Our team has deep experience in manufacturing, materials science, and scaling new innovations globally.

  • Dr. Cora Leibig

    CEO & FOUNDER

Cora has more than 20 years of experience in new product development and the commercialization of specialty chemicals and plastics. Our values

Headwaters
of innovation

Chromatic is a company born in Minnesota, home of the Mississippi River headwaters. We believe our technology is at the forefront of industrial transformation, and that
our customers’ innovation is
fed by our own.

Flexiblity first

We make adaptability economical for manufacturers by shaping our business model and platform to meet customer requirements.

Our story

In 2016, materials scientist Dr. Cora Leibig recognized an opportunity in the 3D printing industry to make more robust parts from materials industrial designers know and trust. She understood the promise of 3D printing, its potential to transform supply chains, and the industrial design possibilities — if only the right materials could be printed, like thermoset elastomers.

Drawing on her education from MIT and her 20+ years of industry experience, Cora founded Chromatic 3D Materials and invented reactive extrusion additive manufacturing. Today the business serves more than 50 customers and development partners across a range of industries in the US and abroad. Chromatic established the GmBH in Germany in 2020 to meet rising demand from European manufacturers.
